OOU ASUU returns to class, threatens indefinite strike

TVC N. According to DR. Deji Agboola, Chairman ASUU, OOU. Members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Olabisi Onabanjo University chapter have suspended their sit at home industrial action following the payment of two months salary by the Ogun State Government.

The lecturers however vowed to commence an indefinite strike in two weeks if the government failed to honour the memorandum of understanding between the Union and government.

Rising from their congress which was supervised by the leadership of the union in Ibadan zone, the lecturers queried the essence of the 5 per cent deduction the state government is making on the tuition fees being paid by students adding that the union is not happy with the state of things.
