As Nigeria continues to bask in the euphoria of the celebration of its 56th Independence
anniversary and struggle to come out of her economic recession, Islamic scholars have called for an inward look into the development of abandoned sectors.

Speaking at the beginning of the new Islamic calendar and the 50th anniversary of the remembrance of Late Islamic scholar Sheikh Nda Salaty they explained that the recession should help Nigerians learn a new lesson of perseverance and equal distribution of wealth.

They enjoined both Muslims and Christians to be tolerant with each other living a harmonious life noting that only these will bring more development to the country as she marks her 56th anniversary.
