Political parties that will participate in the November 26 Governorship election in Ondo state have signed a peace pact.
The major gladiators in the contest were not present at the signing of the peace accord held at the police officers’ mess, Akure.
The Governorship candidate of the APC, AD and PDP were absent at the event because of their campaign programmes.
However, their party were represented at the programme which was attended by Social Democratic Party flag bearer, Olu Agunloye.
The state commissioner of police, Hilda Ibifuro- Harrison said the signing of the peace pact became imperative in order to ensure that peace reigns supreme before, during and after the election.
