Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has thanked Nigerians for their prayers. He expressed his appreciation in a phone conversation monitored in Kano State during a special prayer session organised for him by the Government.

TVC News Kano Correspondent Ibrahim Isah reports that the phone conversation began a short while after numerous Islamic scholars performed prayers for the country’s peace and president Muhammadu Buhari’s quick recovery.
President Buhari thanked Nigerians for the gesture. He expressed delight at the development and charged Nigerians to continue to pray for and support him as he hopes to return to the country soon.

According to the President, he is feeling better.

Some Kano State Government Officials present at the special prayer session spoke on the development

This is the first time the Nigerian President is speaking to his compatriots since his departure for  medical treatment abroad

The prayer session provided an opportunity for Nigerians to hear from their President and they are hopeful that the President will return to the country sooner than later hale and hearty.
