The Nigerian government has sent out a travel advisory warning citizens who have no urgent reasons to travel to the United States, to postpone plans.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, says this is to allow the government get clarity about Washington’s policy on immigration.

Dabiri-Erewa points to recent cases of Nigerians with valid multiple-entry US visas being denied entry and sent back, with no reasons given for the decisions.
