The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport has reopened after six weeks of closure for repairs.
The Abuja airport runway had been under repairs and reopened a day earlier than it’s scheduled reopening of Wednesday and the Ethiopian Airlines is ready to celebrate the re-opening in a big way.
The airline says it will land a brand new Airbus 8350 aircraft at the Abuja airport to mark the reopening.
This would be the first time an airbus aircraft would land in Abuja.
In an exclusive interview with TVC News, Manager of the Airport, Mahmud Saani says all repairs have been inspected and certified.
And in a brief signing of the hand over note, the project contractors of the runway, Julius Berger officially handed over documents on completion of the job to officials Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
The Contractor say the runway is now in top shape and ready for use.
