Eighteen people in Matazu local government area have been confirmed killed by an outbreak suspected to be yellow fever.
Health officials say more than 45 people have reported symptoms, including bleeding.
Confirmed cases of yellow fever were recorded in two other local governments in early September, and the recent health crises in Matazu is under investigation.
