A small plane crashed through the roof of a huge furniture manufacturing plant in Southern California, killing two and injuring 18, according to police.
According to Kristy Wells, a Fullerton police spokesman, the identities of those killed, as well as whether they were on the plane or on the ground, are unknown.
The flight-tracking website FlightAware reported that the jet crashed less than two minutes after taking off from Fullerton Municipal Airport in Orange County, which is only six miles (10 kilometers) from Disneyland.
The jet was turned on its side as it plunged into the building, resulting in a black smoke plume and a blazing explosion, according to security camera footage from Rucci Forged, a wheel manufacturer across the street.
Firefighters and police arrived on scene and battled the blaze and evacuated surrounding businesses, Wells said.
The building the jet crashed into was occupied by a furniture upholstery manufacturer.

Another four-seater jet crashed into a tree a half-mile from the airport last November while performing an emergency landing shortly after takeoff, according to the Orange County Register. Both passengers suffered moderate injuries.
Fullerton is a city of around 140,000 inhabitants located approximately 25 miles (40 kilometers) southeast of Los Angeles.
