As a party, we have done all we needed to do and we have fully complied with all the instructions of the Independent
National Electoral Commission, INEC. We are also cooperating with the security agencies; we are ready for the elections. The only regrettable incident is that a former EO, who is supposed to be on leave, strolled into the INEC office and created a scene this morning (yesterday). We believe they still have a PDP agenda to execute but our vigilant party faithful, were able to force him out with the assistance of the DPO. Optimism of a violence-free rerun We have been assured by the Nigeria Police that everything is being done to provide peace and order for a conducive voting environment. As a matter of fact, we have been assured that a new AIG will be coming to take control and three Commissioners of Police will be deployed to the state for the election. We believe that with all these, if fully implemented, the environment will be conducive enough for voters to come and exercise their civic responsibility. His prospects for the election My prospects are high. I represented my area, Emohua/Ikwerre Constituency, for 12 years and I am happy that I gave an account of my stewardship which was why my party felt I deserved the ticket. When you put that with the performance of the current senator, that represented the area, I am convinced that I will carry the day.
