FC Ifeanyi Ubah will play in the final of this year’s Nigeria Federation Cup after they went past giant killers Crown FC 2-1 in Kaduna on Wednesday.
Crown took the lead after 15 minutes, before Elu Wilson levelled the scores after 21 minutes.
Ifeanyi Ubah grabbed the winner from the penalty spot in a controversial manner in the 56th minute.
Crown thought they had the equalizer in the 86th minute but was chalked off by the referee, who was attacked by angry fans.
The match finally ended 2-1 with IfeanyiUbah going on to face the winners of the second semifinal between Enyimba and Nasarawa United on October 9th.
The eventual winner will represent Nigeria in next year’s CAF Confederation Cup.
