The Nigeria Labour Congress has rejected the pressure mounted on the federal government to sell off some of the nations assets to Billionaire Aliko Dangote.
Dangote recently urged the federal government to sell off the Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas Company and other dormant but huge capital generating assets, and invest the proceeds in the economy.
A labour leader Joe Ajaero in a chat with TVC NEWS says it is irresponsible of any citizen to canvass for the sale of the nations assets.
He advised the federal government to make moves to stimulate the economy.
In the same vain, the coordinator of the Ijaw Monitoring group and a chieftain of the opposition PDP Joseph Evah and chief Amos Olayinka frowned at the suggestion describing it as anti-people and retrogressive.
