The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu has appealed to aggrieved aspirants to team up with him to ensure that the party comes out victorious in the forthcoming governorship poll.
Akeredolu said this not time for internal bickering in the party, saying the current challenges the party is facing would soon be over.
He said it was certain that the party would defeat the ruling Peoples Democratic Party and all other parties that would be contesting the November 26, 2016 governorship election in the state.
Akeredolu stated this while addressing his supporters at the party’s state secretariat on Oyemekun Road, Akure, the state capital on Monday.
He was declared winner of the primary of the party held in Akure, on September 3, 2016.
The Electoral Appeals Committee of the party recommended cancellation of the primary election following the petition written by three of the aspirants – Olusola Oke, Senator Ajayi Boroffice and Segun Abraham but the National Working Committee of the party submitted Akeredolu’s name to the Independent National Electoral Commission as the candidate of the party.
