Persons living with disability in Lagos state can now access the 500 million naira disability trust fund provided by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to give them the needed boost to make a livelihood for themselves and a chance to fulfill their potentials.
Governor Ambode has inaugurated the governing board of the office for disability affairs to manage the 500 million naira trust fund.
This is in fulfillment of a promise to operate an inclusive government without discrimination.
The board will issue guidelines for the education, social development and welfare of persons with disability in the state.
The governor gave an assurance that notwithstanding the 500 million naira trust fund, people living with disability are still eligible to access the 25 billion naira employment trust fund.
