The crisis rocking the Federal University of Technology Akure, FUTA has continued unabated as the various labour unions in the school insist that the Vice Chancellor of the Institution, Prof Biyi Daramola must be sacked.
Members of three labour unions of the school which include the Non Academic Staff Union, Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the National Association of Academic Technologists have continued to protest against the release of the VC by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The main gate of the institution is still placed under lock and key as protesting workers gathered at the entrance to vent their anger.
The aggrieved workers urged the federal government to sack the Vice Chancellor for looting the university’s treasury.
They insist that the vice chancellor has nor moral right to head the institution because of the allegation of financial recklessness levelled against him.
