Almeria midfielder Ramon Azeez has been ruled out of action for six weeks due to a muscle injury.
The 23-year-old Nigerian suffered a muscle-tendon injury on his left leg during his side’s 2-2 draw against Levante last Sunday and was replaced 15 minutes afterwards.
In his place, coach Fernando Soriano has called up Alex Quintanilla for Saturday’s Spanish second division game against Alcorcon at the Estadio Santo Domingo stadium later today.
Azeez joins Pape Diamanka, Sebastian Dubarbier, José Ángel Pozo and Manuel Jesus on the sideline.
The former Future Pro star who has scored twice in eight games will miss his side’s next six games.
They include games against Gimnàstic Tarragona, Real Zaragoza, Córdoba, Sevilla II, Elche and Real Valladolid.
Almeria are 21st on the og with seven points from nine games.
