The House of Representatives has requested the United States President, Barack Obama, to visit Nigeria before the end of his tenure in furtherance of a harmonious bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Chairman, ad hoc committee on Nigeria-US Relations, Johnson Agbonayinma made the request when a delegation from the House Democracy Partnership (HDP) United States House of Representatives paid a visit to the National Assembly.
Agbonayinma noted that as a strong ally of Nigeria in various areas including economy, public and democracy, it wont be out of place for Obama, to pay a visit to Africa’s biggest economy before his tenure elapses.
The legislators charged Obama to emulate some of his predecessors who took time at various times to visit Nigeria just as the US team said the visit is to share experiences and foster stronger ties.
