The crisis rocking the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) over alleged probe of the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Adebiyi Daramola by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has assumed
another dimension as the students’ union government of the institution and the university unions differ
While the unions accused the Vice chancellor of financial impropriety, the students said the vice chancellor has made judicious use of the fund accrued to the university.
The Secretary of the National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT), Bello Olawale said the Vice Chancellor and other principals of the institution should be probed and arrested.
But the president of the students’ union body exonerated the vice chancellor of any wrong doing.
Addressing a news conference in Akure, Oladele Segun, said they students of the institution were satisfied with the level of development in the university.
