Nigeria’s senior female national football team, the Super Falcons have arrived in Cameroon for the 2016 African Women Championship, where they’ll be defending their title.
A contingent of 21 players and officials flew out of Abuja to Lagos on Wednesday morning before flying to Douala in the afternoon.
The Super Falcons are in Group B with Ghana, Mali and Kenya.
Hours before the team’s departure, NFF president Amaju Pinnick was at the team’s camp to offer words of encouragement.
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr was also at the Falcons’ training twice.
The Women’s Cup of Nations will take place from November 19th to December 3rd.
