The president Nigeria Association of Tour Operators, NATOP, Nkereuwem Onung has called on African governments to make tourism an economic tool for development. Speaking at the just concluded Akwaaba African Travel Market in Lagos on the hospitality day, Mr. Onung who is also the chairman of Remlords Tours and Car Hires Services emphasised the need for tourism to be made an economic tool for development in Africa, stating that this will make tourism to work especially in Nigeria.
He stressed that there must be the political will to make tourism work in Nigeria. He maintained that there was the need for things to start working in Nigeria as it is working in other countries.
