Members of the House of Representatives have charged one of their own, Phillip Shuaibu, who is now the deputy governor-elect of Edo State, to continue to be a good ambassador of the institution.
At a valedictory session in his honour, Shaibu’s colleagues paid glowing tributes to his dynamism.
National Assembly Correspondent, Joke Adisa reports that as a two-term member of the Edo State House of Assembly , Shaibu served as a member of the eighth House of Representatives for seventeen months before he was nominated the deputy governorship candidate of his party.
Now that his party has clinched victory at the poll, Shaibu joins the league of older colleagues who quit plenary for the State House.

Shaibu was the Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly before his sojourn into the House of Representatives in 2015.
He, along with the governor-elect, Godwin Obaseki will be sworn in succeed to Adams Oshiomhole.
A bye election will be conducted by INEC to fill the seat vacated by Shaibu.
