The Osun House of Assembly said it decided to invite all the stakeholders in the disbursement of the bailout fund the state received from the federal government in order to put the record straight.
The speaker, Najeem Salaam stated that the assembly is not covering the executive unnecessarily as being insinuated in some quarters.
Bank officials and the accountant general of state said the funds were disbursed in line the guidelines and directives of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
They said, the labour unions and the state government agreed on how to spend the bailout fund and the government respected the agreement by spending the fund in line with the CBN guidelines.
The assembly had directed some government officials, labour unions and relevant organisations to appear before it for the probe of the fund given to state by the Federal Government, subject to a motion by one of the lawmakers calling for the probe of the fund.
