The Nigeria Police Force says it is drawing up security strategies that would ensure a hitch-free Rivers State forthcoming rerun election.
The Police say it is deploying no fewer than 20, 000 Police Officers to deal with crime and criminality in the state.
Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris disclose this to news men when he paid a working visit to Kano State, Northwest Nigeria.
The IGP says 20 gunboats and three helicopters will be redeployed to ensure smooth conduct of the election.
Idris charged police Officers to be posted to monitor the election to be apolitical and punitive in terms of the provision of adequate security of lives and properties in the state.
