Nigeria Professional Football League club Rivers United have picked December 12th as the new departure date for their Span tour.
The Pride of Rivers were initially scheduled to travel to Spain for the last round of their pre-season exercise on December 4th but had to shift the date to allow them participate in the Super Four competition.
The Stanley Eguma-led side will compete in the Super Four alongside league champions, Enugu Rangers, Wikki Tourists and FC IfeanyiUbah starting from December 7th in Enugu.
While in Spain, the team will play friendly games against a La Liga side, as well as Segunda B clubs Levante Union Deportiva 11 and Club Deportivo Alcoyano.
The team is expected back in the country on December 22nd.
Rivers United came second in NPFL last season and will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League next year.
