The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has congratulated the Super Falcons for winning the Africa Women Cup of Nations title for the eighth time.
Saraki said in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, on Sunday in Abuja that the Falcons have done Nigeria proud by retaining their status as African champions.
Nigeria won the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon after beating the host team 1-0 to retain the title in Yaounde on Saturday.
Saraki said that the victory could not have come at a better moment.

He therefore called for more government and private sector support for the various national teams.
