The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Ibrahim Magu, will now be screened next Thursday.
This was after the Senate again failed to confirm him today after delaying the exercise for five months.
Thursday’s cancellation of his confirmation follows the failure of the Senate to list the process in the Order Paper for hearing, despite deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu’s, announcement at plenary on Wednesday that the confirmation hearing would hold today.
Officials of the EFCC led by the acting Chairman, Magu who were at the Senate this morning had to leave after waiting for hours for the failed hearing.
President Muhammadu Buhari sent Magu’s name for confirmation as EFCC boss in July.
