Commuters plying the Lokoja-Abuja highway are going through hellish times due to a road block mounted by truck drivers protesting against truck levy increase of N8,000, that’s about 25 dollars by the Kogi state government.
The ever busy road was blocked around 8:30am local time today, Monday.
Thousands of road users heading to different parts of the country are now stranded to the incident.
But the protesting drivers have remained defiant despite calls for the road to be reopened.
Only last week, commuters plying the road ?suffered a similar experience for about 15 hours.
This followed a face-off between the drivers and security personnel on the state governor’s entourage.
