The United States Agency for International Development, has announced two hundred and twenty seven million dollars, an equivalent to seventy two billion naira, for additional developmental assistance.
This is to support the five-year $2.3bn agreement signed with the Federal Government last year.
U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, Stuart Symington, made the announcement in said the additional funding is to help Nigeria reduce extreme poverty by stimulating inclusive economic growth.
Meanwhile, the envoy says the U.S. will provide humanitarian assistance to people affected in the Boko Haram crisis and food insecurity in the North East and the Lake Chad Basin.
