Image result for Bayelsa Police receive four Armoured Personnel Carriers The Bayelsa Police Command’s war against crime and criminality has been given a further boost following the receipt of four refurbished Armoured Personnel Carrier from the state government.

Presenting the keys to the Commissioner of Police Amba Asuquo in government house Yenagoa, Governor Seriake Dickson says the State Education Safety Corps will soon be set up to provide security for students, schools and facilities for the smooth take off of the compulsory boarding school programme.

TVC News correspondent Ovieteme George reports that four refurbished Armoured Personel Carrier line up in government house Yenagoa ready for handover to the Bayelsa Police Command.Besides the duty of crime-fighting, governor Seriake Dickson is also concerned about the safety of students in the state.

Governor Dickson also wants the existing partnership between the state government and the Police strengthened to further reduce incidents of crime in Bayelsa state.
