Nigeria’s Yakubu Aiyegbeni has joined English League one’s bottom club Coventry City on a free transfer.
The 34 year old striker has not had a club since quitting Turkish side Kayserispor last year and has signed a short term deal that will keep him at Coventry until the end of the season.
Yakubu has previously played in the Premier League for Everton, Portsmouth, Middlesbrough and Blackburn and also had stints in the Championship with Leicester City and Reading.
