Ondo state Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has appealed to doctors and health workers in the state to call off their 3 week-old strike to give room for negotiations.
The governor who spoke in Akure while meeting with the state workers at the state secretariat, said a committee will be set up to look into the payment of salaries.
In his sermon tagged “Moving with the moving God” pastor Joshua Odeyemi of reconciliation assembly, Akure, urged the civil servants to learn to forget the past.
The state head of service, Toyin Akinkuotu pledged the support of the workforce for the success of the present administration.
The governor in his speech said he understands the agony of the civil servants in the state and promised to address it.
He announced that a committee will be set up to address issue of salary payment.
The Governor also appealed to workers to join hands with his government to move the state forward.
