Notable sons and daughters of Awori land and Isheri have called on the Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun to consider creation of Awori zone and a separate traditional council for them in order to eliminate the
marginalization they are facing presently.
They made this known during the inauguration of a community newspaper meant for the promotion of the culture and development in Awori land both in Ogun and Lagos state.
Speaking about the reason why Awori people deserve a separate traditional council, the Olofin of Isheri said some of the traditional rulers in Ado-Odo/Ota are under Egba division while others are under Yewa traditional council.
