Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court, Abuja, has granted bail to Shamsudeen Bala-Mohammed, son of former FCT Minister, Bala Mohammed.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arraigned Shamsudeen on a 15 count charge, for allegedly embezzling about 1.1 billion naira or 3.6 million dollars.
In granting his bail application on Friday, Justice Dimgba ordered him to provide the sum of 100 million naira and 2 sureties, that’s the sum of 50 million naira each and they must be private business men, professionals or civil servants.
Shamsudeen is also to drop his International passport with the registrar of the court, and must not travel without the consent of the court.
The Judge pointed that, the bail would only be approved, upon receipt from the EFCC, that the accused provides his finger print and bio data.
He was remanded in prison custody, pending when he meets his bail requirements.
