An Abuja High Court sitting in Maitama, has fixed March the 2nd for hearing of an application by the detained former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
He is seeking the consolidation of two sets of charges preferred against him and others by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
In one set of the 22 counts, the EFCC accused Dasuki, former governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa, his son and others of allegedly diverting the sum of N13 billion naira meant for the purchase of arms.
In another set , Dasuki, and others were accused of diverting funds meant for the purchase of arms.
At the resumed hearing of the case with 22 counts ,Dasuki’s lawyer,Ahmed Raji informed the judge that he had filed an application for the consolidation of the two sets of charges.
