The National Association of Nigerian Student, NANS has condemned the expulsion of 29 students of the Federal College of Education Gombe, North East Nigeria, over their alleged roles in a protest last June.
The affected students had participated in a 2 day peaceful protest over lack of water and other basic amenities within the school campus.
The student body who spoke to TVC News in Jos the Plateau state capital through its vice-president national affairs also rejected the institution’s withdrawal of admission to 34 students and a directive for yet another 11 students to repeat one academic session over the protest.
The student body has given a 14 day ultimatum to the said institution to reverse the sanctions.
