Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr will begin an intense search for players in the Nigeria pro-football league ahead of the 2018 world cup qualifier against Cameroon.
Rohr, who worked as a television pundit at the just-concluded AFCON in Gabon has returned to the country.
He will watch some selected games in the NPFL.
NPFL stars Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Godwin Obaje and Chisom Egbuchulam all featured in Rohr’s squad for a World Cup qualifier in Zambia in October.
But Rohr did not invite the home based players for the qualifier against Algeria in Uyo, explaining that the league had ended and he could not guarantee their match fitness.
