Enyimba striker, Mfon Udoh has described his goal against Akwa United as special, after they claimed a 1-0 win on Thursday afternoon.
The People’s Elephant captain was up against his former team, the Solid Miners at the UJ Esuene Stadium.
The game looked to be heading for a scoreless draw until Udoh secured the victory for the home side with a fine acrobatic effort,
“That goal, I will describe it as special,” Udoh told Goal.
“We knew we needed to win and Akwa United were comfortable with the way the match was going especially when we had just 10 more minutes to make a difference or consent to share points.
Already on four goals after seven rounds, the striker noted that he won’t put himself under pressure to equal his record or set a new one.
“No I don’t have a target, I am just having fun doing what I love to do,” he added.
“It’s a team effort and goals are expected to come from any of us, although the strikers’ primary responsibilities are to score goals.”
