On Thursday, the Nigerian Senate mandated that Hameed Ali the Comptroller General of Nigerian Custom service to reappear in uniform on Wednesday 22nd March, 2017.
The custom boss was summoned to appear today in uniform but he however defies the order and came to the red chambers in mufti.
While reprimanding Hamid Ali, Sen B. Jibrin said “CG needs to go & apply the law of the land by wearing uniform before he addresses us, as stipulated in our constitution”.

Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekeremadu had earlier queried the Comptroller General for not wearing his official uniform.
Responding to the question Ali claimed that the letter inviting him did not request that he should appear in uniform.
