Coach Stanley Eguma has hailed the ‘killer instinct’ of his players after Rivers united saw off Sudanese side, Al-Merreikh 3-0 in Port Harcourt.
Eguma says it is a huge win but concedes the job is half done as they seek to reach the next round of the caf champions league.
Al-Merreikh Diego Garzitto blamed the kick-off time and the pitch at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium for the loss.
The return leg is in Omdurman on March 18.
