The death of General Adeyinka Adebayo has been received with shock at his home town – Iyin Ekiti because he personally received an award there only about a fortnight ago.
TVC News Correspondent, Akin Ogunmola who visited the town reports that the sober mood of members of the household of the late General Adebayo at his country home in Iyin Ekiti confirmed that the great man had departed.
Only two sympathisers had signed the condolence register opened at the entrance of the General’s apartment in the sprawling compound.
A son and a cousin of the deceased on hand told TVC News that the General died in Lagos.
People were going about their normal business outside the late General’s residence but the traditional ruler of the town said the community had lost an illustrious son.
It’s noteworthy that General Adebayo died a day to his 89th birthday anniversary.
