Former Delta State governor, James Ibori, is challenging his 2012 conviction for fraud, at the British Court of Appeal.
His media assistant, Tony Eluemunor says information about the appeal was disclosed at the Southwark London court on Friday, during the ongoing trial to confiscate Ibori’s assets.
As a result, Eluemunor says the assets seizure proceedings have now been adjourned indefinitely.
At the heart of the appeal are allegations the police in the United Kingdom was corrupt, and withheld information from the defence teams.

Eluemunor says Ibori and other defendants will challenge investigators’ conclusion that Ibori’s conviction was safe, despite the means by which it was allegedly obtained.
