A cross section of youths from across the country gathered in Lagos for the ”First massive Literati” , a national youth movement aimed at improving youth inclusiveness in governance and leadership.
The forum tagged ”Youth, the Future ” provided the opportunity for youths to discuss intellectually and brainstorm on ways to increase youth participation in leadership roles and politics.
Key speakers at the event lamented the non availability of competent young people in leadership positions in the country noting that most of those who currently occupy political office took the challenge as youths.
They blamed the current economic crunch and the country’s stagnation on the low participation of youths in governance.
They further enjoined competent and creative young people in the country to step forward , take up leadership roles and better the fortunes of the nation.
