Nigerian lawyers are divided on the appropriateness of the senate’s insistence on the Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Customs Service, Hameed Ali appearing before it in customs uniform.
The rejection of the acting chairman of the Economic and financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu for the second time by the senate has been blamed on the presidency.
Magu was last week refused confirmation because of his indictment by the department of state services DSS.
Some politicians who spoke with TVC News blamed the presidency for not handling the confirmation of Ibrahim Magu well.
They further condemned the role of the special Adviser to the National Assembly for the whole saga.
