Captain of the Super Eagles, John Mikel Obi, is to take on a more central midfield role in his new club in China, Tianjin TEDA.
Mikel Obi will wear the number 10 jersey as an indication of the new midfield role as opposed to the defensive midfield duties at English Premier League club, Chelsea.
The new season of the Chinese Super League begins this weekend and Tianjin TEDA will take on Shandong Luneng Jinan in their opening match on Saturday.
The Super Eagles captain left English Premier League club, chelsea to join the Chinese team on a free transfer.

But Nigeria’s other player in the team, striker Brown Ideye will put on jersey number 39.
