The Governor of Imo State Rochas Okorocha has called for a review of the nation’s land act use to make land easily available to citizens.
Speaking in Owerri, capital of Imo State when the Nigeria Institute of Estate Surveyors paid him a courtesy call, Governor Okorocha said the failure of Nigerian Government to review the land use act is a hindrance to the nation’s economic development.
According to him, successful nations around the world are not measured by military value but by the value of its land.
He therefore called on various Governments to stop looking at governance from the point of an accountant but from the point of economic growth which has land at the centre.
The Governor believes that when this is done the country will begin to move in geometrical progression.
