The police authorities have paraded an 11 member gang in connection with the kidnapping of several persons including Isa Salami, a former Group Managing Director of Peugeot Automobile of Nigeria.
One of the members of the gang, Abdulrasheed Maigari, is a former member of the State Security Service who was dismissed after he and some soldiers of the Nigerian Army robbed a Bureau De Change operator of 310 million naira.
Maigari and his new found gang leader, Kelvin Emeka jumped bail to form the kidnapping gang whom the police spokesman says is responsible for the kidnap of a filling station operator and two university students.
