The decision was taken after Magu was screened by the Senate.
Magu had appeared before the Senate on Wednesday for the second time and answered questions bothering on anti-graft-war and the alleged finance of his apartment by a perceived corrupt businessman.
Senate President Bukola Saraki said with the rejection of Magu, he seizes to be Acting Chairman of the EFCC and asked President Muhamadu Buhari to nominate another head for the anti-graft agency.
