Forty-five power turbines have been shut down due to gas supply constraints and technical issues, pointing to poor electricity supplies in the coming weeks.
More than two thousand megawatts of power are shut in.
According industry reports, 68 hydro, steam and gas power turbines were available but only 45 functioned .
Delta Power has lost 235 megawatts as 11 idle turbines were idle.

Kainji and Jebba hydros had six turbines on maintenance while Shiroro hydro only operated two turbines as three others went out.
