At least 13 policemen and three civilians have been wounded when an explosive device went off near a police training centre in the Nile Delta city of Tanta.
Egypt’s interior ministry confirmed that the bomb was planted in a motorcycle parked near the centre and the area has been cordoned off and is being combed by security forces.
The injured have been moved to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Two of them are in critical condition. There is no immediate claim of responsibility.
