The 3rd Chinese peacekeeping infantry battalion in South Sudan has recently passed the assessment for combat readiness, by the United Nations Mission in South Sudan.
This is the first time for the infantry battalion, to go through such inspection since it arrived at the mission area in late December, 2016.
During the 2-day assessment, a 7-member inspection team thoroughly checked the officers’ and soldiers’ basic military qualities, crisis management abilities and civilian protection capabilities.
The inspection team spoke highly of the Chinese soldiers’ performance.
