Electricity consumers in Egypt may soon have access to uninterrupted power supply as renewable energy takes attention.
Minister of Investment, Sahar Nasr has already signed $85 million deal with the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development to fund the project.
The fund will help in the establishment of a 50 MW photo voltaic power plant in Kom Ombo in Aswan for the roll out of renewable energy.
The minister said the idea was to move away from the traditional energy sources of coals, gas and black oil while preserving the environment.
Egypt has growing needs for increased use of power in industries and small businesses.
